GunTex: a website and shop desk for a one-bench gunsmith

What we built

• A quiet, confident design made for the shop: a printed-catalog look, the shop’s own logo traced to vector, and a technical drawing of a rifle that points to each kind of work.
• A price list the owner runs himself: every job with its starting price and its typical time on the bench, edited from the shop desk and shown on the site as soon as he saves.
• Consultation requests: customers describe the job, add up to five photos and say when they could meet, so every job starts with the details it needs.
• A private shop desk where each request becomes a meeting, a quote and an approved job, then is tracked through invoicing, payment and pickup, with a calendar of meetings and due dates.
• A journal of Texas history, with every claim sourced.
• Hosting and care: SSL on Cloudflare's network, nightly backups, and updates and edits after launch.

Like every Genie BI site it started from a blank page, then was shaped around how the shop takes on work: requests arrive with the details needed to quote, and the owner decides what to take on, sets up the meeting and sends the quote from one place.
